Adoption Process

The adoption process begins when a family chooses their furever puppy to join their family. Families can meet the puppies in person, or by having a video meeting. It is important that families have an opportunity to meet the puppy before choosing their new furbaby. Once a family has had the opportunity to meet the puppies and decide which furbaby they would like to adopt, a deposit will be collected for $500 to hold the puppy. This is non-refundable and is put towards the balance remaining.

From when a family chooses a puppy until the puppy reaches 8 weeks old and goes to their new furever home, I will also send weekly updates, pictures, and videos. If families would like, they are welcome to come and visit their puppy during this waiting period. I try to be sure that families feel like they are a part of the entire process from the start and that they have opportunities to be a part of all of the puppy's early milestones like; taking their first steps, opening their eyes for the first time, eating their first solid foods, and getting their first teeth. It's a wonderful experience to watch them grow from the start and I want my families to have every opportunity to be a part of that.

Puppies will undergo preventative deworming treatments at 2, 4, and 6 weeks old. They will also get their first vaccines at 7 weeks old.  At 8 weeks old, the puppy can go home and join their new family! Puppy parents will be given lots of helpful information about their growing puppy, and they are encouraged to call me with any questions. They will go home with a goodie bag with a food sample, a blanket from mama (this helps the puppy transition to their new home by having something that smells like their mama), favorite toys, a birth certificate, and a health record.
